Fr. Lance Oser is a native of California, where he taught for a number of years in the Los Angeles School District, but was recruited for our Diocese by Bishop Robert Carlson, who sent him to study Theology at Holy Apostles Seminary in Conn., where he obtained a Masters in Church History.

Being ordained to the Priesthood on June 22, 2001 at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Sioux Falls, Fr. Lance was sent to Sacred Heart in Aberdeen for a little over a year. Bishop Carlson then appointed him Pastor of St. Anthony's in Hoven and St.John's in Onaka Oct. 4, 2002, where he continues serving today.
